This harborside cottage has been updated to provide modern comfort and conveniences while retaining all of the home’s original charm. Only a short stroll from this 3BR/2BA Bayside Cottage to the footbridge across the harbor and you arrive in downtown Boothbay Harbor.. The original architectural features and beamed ceilings imbue the cottage with warmth and charm, while its sparkling kitchen with gleaming stainless-steel appliances provide modern convenience. In the evenings, enjoy the backyard, making use of the gas grill and relaxing around the wood burning firepit before strolling across the footbridge to town for an ice cream cone.

In addition to being a short walk to the many wonderful restaurants and shops of downtown Boothbay Harbor, Bayside Cottage is also a quick drive to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, many riverside fishing and swimming spots, and ocean-adventure boat charters.

The comfortable sofas invite you to unwind in the living area. The flat-screen TV with Roku allows you to log in to your preferred streaming services. Board games puzzles, and books are provided for additional entertainment options.

Stainless steel appliances and sleek soapstone countertops bring modern style and an upscale feel to the kitchen. When you’re ready to eat, gather around the large table in the dining area.

BED & BATH
This home sleeps seven guests in three bedrooms.
Sleep soundly on a queen-size bed in the primary suite. The en-suite bathroom is configured with a walk-in shower.
The second bedroom contains a queen-size bed, while the third bedroom is furnished with a full-size bed and a twin-size bed.
The guest bathroom includes a tub/shower combination.

OUTDOOR AREA & AMENITIES
Prepare tasty meals on the patio's gas grill.
Enjoy coastal breezes while relaxing in the backyard. On clear nights, roast marshmallows over the wood-burning firepit. (Bring your own firewood.)

Just a 2-minute stroll away, beloved Mama D’s Cafe Mercantile offers delicious breakfast and lunch options in a charming, cozy environment. Also right by the cottage is Ports Pizzeria and Brady’s, a year-round waterfront restaurant. Downtown Boothbay Harbor is a leisurely 10 minute walk away.

  Renting from Coastal Maine Vacations was a great experience from start to finish. They were extremely professional and responsive to inquiries/concerns. I'm not sure we have ever rented a house where we were not asked, upon checking out, to throw linens in the washer, take out the garbage, throw away food, etc. It was great to just enjoy our vacation. We also appreciated the soap, laundry pods, etc provided. (Better, plusher, more absorbent towels would be an improvement, but Coastal Maine was great about sending over a stack of clean towels when we asked for just two more.)
  
  The house was in a perfect location for exploring Boothbay Harbor on foot. We walked to dinner every night and enjoyed the views from the nearby footbridge. The upstairs bedrooms and bathroom were great for our daughters, and the kitchen was well-equipped with nice appliances, pots, pans, etc. The only two downsides to this property are 1) the master suite, which is quite cramped and has an en suite bathroom that is so tiny that it is difficult for two people to stand in it at one time; and 2) there is no deck or patio for enjoying time outside. The yard has a grill, a fire pit and some chairs, but it just wasn't that appealing as a place to sit and enjoy the beautiful Maine evenings, particularly as it is shared with the property next door. But all in all, it was a very comfortable house, and the location is key.
