AWay from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor, but just a short drive from the Schoodic Peninsula which is also part of the Acadia National Park. Restaurants in Winter Harbor were fantastic. We couldn't ask for a more perfect vacation! Everything you could need for your vacation - the kitchen was well stocked, washer /dryer and we especially appreciated the cute boxes of bath products!   This cottage is quintessential Maine, just what we were looking for. The property was clean and well-maintained. The management was very quick to respond when we were unable to figure out the internet and all was resolved quickly. If we would have had more time we would have stayed longer just to enjoy the cottage and its location. We traveled to Acadia all three days of our stay, a couple of our group took the ferry from Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor which they really enjoyed. If you're looking for a quiet cottage with a water view away from the populated areas around Bar Harbor then I highly recommend Lobster Cottage.

  We loved staying in this part of maine! The house was great, only downside is that the stairs are VERY steep and the upstairs banister felt short. We worked it out but with the kids going up and down a lot, and my 74 year old mother as well, I just a little nervous about it. Everything else was great and I would rent again!

  The cottage was very cute and very clean . We happened to be there at a time when we had fog and rain and we’re unable to enjoy the view or the nice decks .   Everything was perfect at the Lobster house! We are annual repeat guests. Every year we discover more things in the area. This year we found the bell shop down the street and got a lovely bell. They do demonstrations two days a week. We also found a great farm a few miles past the bell shop where we got meat and vegetables. We also had a nice time at a beach nearby. We will be back next year!

  We adored our time at Lobster Cottage. Beautifully maintained home, quiet & peaceful area with wonderful views of the water! Well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds and living spaces excellent. The only limitation is that all the bedrooms are upstairs, so wouldn't recommend it for those with mobility issues.

  This comfortable house overlooking Prospect Harbor is a great find. This is the quiet side of Acadia, away from the busy side at Bar Harbor. It is an hour to drive over the the Bar Harbor area, but this property is near the Schoodic Peninsula part of Acadia, an area worth exploring with a lot smaller crowds. Sitting on the front porch or on the balcony overlooking the harbor was delightful watching the changing light over the water and boats. The house is comfortable and well appointed. There are signs of its age (such as the kitchen cabinets), but none of that takes away from what a great find it is. The property management is very responsive and helpful.

  Spacious and clean home that was exactly what I had hoped it to be. The only slight drawback was the location was about an hour away from Bar Harbor if driving. We didn’t utilize the ferry since we wanted to move around a bit. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would recommend!
