  When we pulled up to Noonie's Nest, the first thing I thought was that is was even better than we expected! The home was spacious for our family of 4, and had everything we needed. We were pleasantly surprised to find a dishwasher, and hardwood flooring throughout the cottage (including the bathroom!)Other reviews mentioned carpeting, but that has been updated. Otherwise, the description was accurate. The cottage has large fans in the bedrooms, very soft sheets, and a new supply of towels, including a set of beach towels. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed! When we had questions, we received responses very quickly. The cottage is located in a serene, private setting and is also close enough to all of the popular spots in Acadia. There is a kayak rental 5 minutes away at Long Pond, and there is a great swimming spot at Echo Lake. We enjoyed popovers at Jordan Pond, riding bikes on the carriage roads, and went on a sunset sail in Bar Harbor! We will return to Noonie's Nest next time we visit Mount Desert Isle!

  It was wonderful to be back at this perfect coastal New England cottage. It was private, quaint, quiet, cozy, clean, and stocked with everything we needed. The location is equidistant from all of the different areas of Mount Desert Island, and same for the sites in the National Park. The yard at the cottage also has a fire pit, games, is well maintained, and perfect for our dog and paddleboarding on the marsh. We enjoyed wildlife, the changing tides, the sun, moon, stars, and northern lights over the marsh. It is a perfect Wa we staying here. The property managers are responsive and accommodating with their kindness. We hope to continue the tradition and be back soon. Thank you!

  A perfect cottage, location, everything. We loved our stay here! Very clean, classic waterfront cottage. We hiked, kayaked, ate lobster rolls (Thurston's, Archie's), woodfire pizza (Sweet Pea) and blueberry pie (The Crust Station). We had the best late summer weather, and let the cool breezes come in. We loved watching the tides, the gulls, cormorants, herons, ducks, and even a crane from the deck. Coastal Maine Vacations provides an excellent property management service. It was great to have a washer and dryer on hand. The bed was not the best but everything else makes up for this. We would not hesitate to return.

  This was perfect. The two bedrooms were good sized, the kitchen had everything for cooking real meals, the linens were top quality. The view is a saltwater tidal pond that has seagulls, ducks, and various water birds & an eagle. We brought two kayaks and paddled out thru the narrows to the ocean. The deck was big and had a picnic table and BBQ nearby. The grounds were well-kept, lawn cut low, easy walking around. The shore by the pond is peatmoss, so a little hard to walk on, spongy. The house has a/c in living rm window and floor fans in every room, very good. Refrigerator large with freezer, small microwave and plenty of dishes, pots, pans, containers & bowls. We loved it, easy access to Acadia, 30 minutes at best. We were missing a hairdryer, we called the owner and she brought us one immediately. Furniture very comfortable and clean. Would definitely recommend.
