  Our vacation rental was in a great location in Yarmuth. Yarmuth is a quiet town but only 20 minutes from downtown Portland. The house easily accommodated the 6 of us with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. A nice sitting area with gas firepit outside. The host was easily accessible and check in and check out was very simple. House was clean and updated in a quiet neighborhood.

  We spent a week at Sparrowhawk House in August 2025. Yarmouth is a terrific little town with lots to offer and only a short drive to Portland and Freeport, if that's your destination. The house is old, but it has been updated with modern fixtures and appliances. Everything was clean and worked as expected. The stairs to the second floor are very steep and posed a challenge to our oversized pet dog. There are only 4 chairs in the kitchen and the driveway is big enough for only 2 cars. The grill and fire pit were both a nice touch. The neighborhood is mostly quiet and is very walkable.

  This rental property would not be ideal for the elderly or those with physical handicap due to steep stairs and deep tubs. But an otherwise comfortable property for a vacation. 3 comfortable queen sized beds and an uncomfortable day bed in the upstairs hallway loft. We found the place to be clean and relaxing.

  This house is adorable! Very clean & the best stocked rental we have ever stayed in. The full size washer & dryer is a very welcome above average amenity. The patio with string lights & fire pit is a perfect spot to enjoy the end of day sunset. We will definitely be staying here again. Perfect location for all our mid coast & Portland adventures.

  The house overall is nice and we really enjoyed our 3 days there.
  The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pan, plates and utensils. The outdoor patio with the hanging lights with a gas fire pit is nice. There was a minor issue in the house, ie the first floor bedroom door creak big time.
  It was be nicer if the kitchen table has 6 chairs instead of 4.

  Perfect accommodations for our family of five. Very clean, comfortable, and updated. Nice neighborhood. My only suggestion would be to add window blinds or black out curtains. It gets daylight very early and the rooms are bright. This would not keep me from staying here again though.

  The community of Yarmouth is beautiful and we felt very safe. The house itself was not easy in certain areas whether young or old. The stairs present challenges to anyone taller than 5'5" because head clearance low and steep stairs even with handrails. The Beds upstairs super close to ceiling due to A-line house. The tubs are difficult to exit because of the glass design and 24" minimum height to step over and floor of tub slick. The handles do not really suffice due to surface slipping and height. Kitchen was beautiful. We had Zoomba teacher and runner with us and they had challenges exiting bathtub and maneuvering stairs with luggage. Bathtubs need to be re-configured and furniture downstairs really evaluated. We also had plug blow out and had to find circuit breaker box and reset.

  We enjoyed the quiet location of the rental. The furnishings were new and stylish. The stairs to the second floor were quite steep without a handrail. A handrail and something to cover the empty wall on the left side would make it safer, especially for young kids. There were also a lot of spiders that kept turning up in the bathrooms. But overall, we enjoyed our stay.
